That is very conscious as I have become increasingly aware, in recent years, of a tendency for sites to have odd typefaces, often in tiny sizes and poorly-contrasted against tinted backgrounds .... so say nothing of weird gizmos that dash, uninvited, onto the screen and text which wiggles and wobbles for no good reason.
I don't have any significant visual impairment (allowing for reading glasses) but I still have to struggle to read some of these sites. There is no excuse and, as part of a general concen about accessibility, which I try to incorporate into lectures etc, I have made the type bold, black and clear with contrasting headers.
